
What is rooting?
Root is the process to change from a
normal user privilage become superuser / in other words as being a
Administaror in windows os. Rooting aiming to obtain full privileges in
an OS, so that later we can do whatever we want after getting this right
(in terms of software).
Benefits rooting:
- Allows you to install a custom ROM and firmwares.
- Allows you to convert your file system from the RFS to more faster ext4 format
- Allows to install app2sd,data2sd.
- Can create a custom theme.
- Can use applications that require access root.
Losses rooting:
Rooting voids the warranty

Note: root does not
change the display, root does not make the devices become faster, root
does not necessarily make the device to be stable, reducing the internal
memory, free up ram or other.

Preparation before root Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman (WT19i)
- Make sure you have installed adb drivers in your computer.
- Enable “USB Debugging” from Settings > Applications > Development.
- Enable “UNKNOWN SOURCES” from Settings > Applications.
- Connect your phone to PC using USB cable.
- Skip “PC Companion Software” prompt on the device.

- Download Adb driver
Instruction to root Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman (WT19i)
- Download Easy rooting Toolkit v2.0 to your computer.
- Extract the file.
- Open the extracted folder and run “RUNME.bat”.
- Then follow the instructions on the screen.

experiencing difficulties or problems during the process of rooting on

Trouble shooting:
Make sure you have installed all drivers, you can check back all drivers through device manager because there are some users who reported “SEMC HSUSB DEVICE” not been installed and appear an exclamation mark (!). You can try to install SEMC (HS)USB FLASH Cable driver problem (Win7) or PedicabDriver Solution or Install Net Framework 3.5.
